VW South Africa to export Jettas
Port Elizabeth-based Volkswagen South Africa has secured a contract to export 10 000 units of the latest version of the Jetta sedan to countries that also use right-hand-drive vehicles, enabling the company to achieve record export volumes this year.
Ford secures Africa export contract
Pretoria-based Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa has secured an export contract to supply right- and left-hand-drive models of the popular Ford Ranger pickup truck to African markets.
Toyota SA 'a global producer'
Toyota South Africa will export over 140 000 vehicles to over 40 global destinations this year, following a multi-billion rand upgrade that has turned the company from a local supplier to an international export base, as well as Africa's biggest vehicle manufacturer.
