South Africa's electric vehicle plan

A group of 20 women in South Africa's Cape winelands are standing up to be counted, and are now producing their own wine, bottled under the label Women in Wine. It is the first wine-producing company in the country that is owned, controlled and managed entirely by women.

With tablet devices growing in popularity in South Africa, First National Bank has become the first of the country's retail banks to release a banking app customised for tablet devices.

Mobile telecommunications operator MTN has gone live in Ghana and Nigeria with a range of cloud computing services for small businesses, with launches in Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa and Uganda to follow later this year.
