Prism gets nod for R40m BEE deal

Shareholders of the information and technology company Prism voted on Thursday in favour of the company’s proposed black economic empowerment deal with the Mineworkers Investment Company.
In the transaction the Mineworkers Investment Company will acquire a 16.89 direct stake in Prism through a newly incorporated company, the BEEco.
In a deal valued at R40-million, the BEEco will acquire 100 million Prism shares at a cost of 40 cents per share.
