Truworths announces record sales

Clothing retailer Truworths rallied on Wednesday after it announced record sales for the year to June 30, 2005.
Truworths said in a trading statement that sales for the period totalled a record R3.2-billion, an increase of 21 percent on 2004.
The group also said it forecasts earnings and headline earnings per share to be between 28 and 33 percent higher than those reported in 2004.
Shares rose 2.77 percent to end at 18.91 rand on the JSE on Wednesday.
