Randgold may be delisted in the US
Posted Thu, 21 Jul 2005
Randgold and Exploration said in a statement on Wednesday it faces being delisted from the Nasdaq stock exchange after failing to comply with the exchange's requirements for continued listing.
The company received a notice from the Nasdaq stating that its securities are subject to delisting as a result of Randgold and Exploration failing to timeously file its Form 20-F for the year to December 31, 2004.
Randgold noted that the notice itself does not result in the immediate delisting from the Nasdaq and that the company would make a timely request for a hearing with the Nasdaq Listing Qualifications Panel to review the matter.
The company did note however that there were no assurances that the qualifications panel would allow the group to continue to list.
Randgold said the company had experienced delays in obtaining information to finalise its audited financial statements.
