e.tv boosts HCI interim results

Investment group Hosken Consolidated Investments announced on Monday a 71 percent increase in headline earnings per share for the half year to September 2005.
Group revenue was up 41 percent from R634.9-million to R894.5-million, while headline earnings increased from R77.3-million to R151.9-million.
e-TV reported a 19 percent growth in operating profits for the current period and was well positioned to deliver similar levels of growth over the next six months.
The group did not declare an interim dividend due to the need to retain funds for acquisitions and operations of the group.
