FUEL
Petrol to drop on Wednesday

The price of petrol will drop by 30 cents a litre across South Africa on Wednesday, the Department of Minerals and Energy Affairs said on Friday.

The department said the international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin decreased between October 28 and December 1.

The average rand/dollar exchange rate for the period was 6.6751 compared to 6.5734 during the previous period.

The price of diesel 0.3 percent sulphur will drop by 26 cents a litre.

Diesel 0.05 percent sulphur will fall by 30 cents per litre. The price of illuminating paraffin will fall by 30 cents a litre.
