New Clicks turnover up 15%

Retailer New Clicks said on Monday it increased turnover by 15.1 percent in the four months to December 2005.
The group's retail brands increased sales by 9.8 percent during the period, and by 9.6 percent on a same store basis.
UPD, the group's wholesale pharmaceutical distributor, increased turnover by 30.2 percent.
Clicks grew sales by 7.9 percent in the first four months of the financial year, with same store sales rising by 9.9 percent.
African beauty and hair care brand Discom showed an increase of 11.6 percent in total sales, reflecting the impact of the opening of a net seven stores during the year — comparable store sales growth was 6.9 percent.
The Entertainment division brands of Musica and CD Wherehouse lifted total sales by 19.6 percent, boosted by the opening of seven new stores — same store growth was 11.9 percent.
Sales of The Body Shop were 4.4 percent higher than the corresponding period, while same store sales were flat.
New Clicks shares rallied 4.4 percent to end at 9.55 rand on the JSE on Monday.
