Johannesburg's Gold Reef City is set to play host to International Bollywood, an extravaganza that promises to whip up a whirlwind of colourful dancing and singing, with Bollywood songstress Sonam Kalra and Indian Idols finalist Mukesh Tomar appearing on stage together for the first time.
The spectacular, taking place on 3 and 4 April, will weave wonderful music, show-stopping costumes, amazing lighting and vibrant video imagery together into a colourful spectacle.
Kalra and Tomar will perform duets and love songs from some of Bollywood's greatest musicians over the past few years. Melodies composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy, AR Rehman and Anu Malik will engulf the audience.
International Bollywood is choreographed by Gilles Chuyen, a trained dancer from France, who has been working in the Indian dance, film, theatre and fashion industries for more than a decade.
Chuyen was the choreographer for Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, a film directed by Sudhir Mishra, and also acted and danced as Jack in Ranjit Kapoor's upcoming film with Rishi Kapoor, Chintuji. Gilles has also choreographed the closing of the Melbourne Commonwealth Games Arts festival and the blockbuster stage production, Bollywood Love Story - A Musical.
