Knysna Oyster Festival warms up winter
The Pick n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival, a celebration of sport and the good life, has established itself as one of the most popular annual events in the Western Cape. It is into its 26th year and was officially opened on Wednesday evening by the Executive Mayor of Knysna, Eleanore Bouw-Spies.
Wine and fruit farmers' expo
Intervitis Interfructa, the largest agriculture expo in the Western Cape, incorporating the Wine Farmers and Fruit Growers Exhibition, takes place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 28 to 30 July.
World Arts and Culture Summit for SA
The fourth World Summit on Arts and Culture, taking place in Johannesburg from 22 to 25 September, will explore ways in which the arts can help to bridge social and cultural divides in a post-9/11 world.
