SAinfo on your mobile

Stay connected wherever you are: get the latest updates from SouthAfrica.info on your mobile phone, using a free mobile service called WidSets.

How it works

WidSets is a free mobile service that uses mini-applications called widgets to access your favourite websites.

Simply go to SAinfo's WidSets page, click on the green "pick" button in the middle of the page, then click on the green "register and download" button at the top of the page.

Follow a few easy instructions to download the WidSets application to your phone, with the SAinfo widget loaded in its library.

WidSets will use this widget to look for new stories as they are posted on SAinfo, automatically "push" this content to your phone, and notify you of updates.

Data transfer

To use WidSets, you must have a data transfer agreement in place with your mobile service provider. If you've ever received a picture message or accessed a WAP site, then you already have this in place.

WidSets is free of charge, but your mobile service provider might charge you for the data transfer. Find out more.

Compatibility

WidSets runs on over 300 different phone models. Yours is probably one of them, but if you're in doubt, check the list of compatible phones here.
