Consumer help: tax
Help with tax-related problems or complaints, as well as a range of online resources to help you submit your returns and make payments to the Receiver.
Tax problems & complaints
If you have a tax problem or complaint, first contact your local Receiver of Revenue's office. If you have no success, contact the regional manager at the regional office. If you still have a problem, phone the national client service number. If you are still experiencing difficulties, phone the complaint office to lodge a complaint - or ask client service to put you through to the complaint office.
The Contact Us section of the SARS website provides links throughout the country, covering regions, customs, sectors and more.
In addition, the SARS website provides tax forms, tables and guidelines downloadable in Adobe PDF format, as well as a number of useful tax guides.
E-Filing
The SA Revenue Service's e-Filing allows for the electronic submission of returns, and electronic payments, for the following mainly corporate taxes: personal income tax, VAT, PAYE, Skills Development Levies, Provisional Income Tax, UIF, and Diesel Refunds.
