South Africa spends more on education

South Africa's spending on education continues to grow, with Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan allocating R207-billion to the sector for 2012/13, with projections that this may rise to up to R236-billion over the next three years.

SA sets aside R5.3bn for student loans

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme will allocate over R5.3-billion to South Africa's universities and colleges for student funding in 2012, up from R4.6-billion in 2011.
