Nominations for science awards
Edwin Tshivhidzo

19 October 2004

The National Science and Technology Forum is calling for nominations of individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the country's science and technology to be entered for the seventh annual National Science and Technology Forum Awards 2004.

The deadline for nominations is 31 January 2005.

The awards, endorsed by the Science and Technology department, recognise both individuals and organisations for their mobilisation of knowledge through outstanding contributions to science, engineering and technology to achieve sustainable economic growth and improving the quality of life of South Africans.

Science and Technology Minister Mosibudi Mangena is the official patron of the awards.

Participants stand a chance to win one of the prestigious trophies or at least gain recognition for their efforts in different categories.

Interested individuals and organisations should send their entries to the NSTF Secretariat, PO Box 9823, Pretoria, 0001.

The nomination form is also available by e-mailing NSTF, from the NSTF Secretariat or can be downloaded from the National Science and Technology Forum website.
