Four South African climbers have overcome treacherous conditions to reach the top of the Trango Tower in Pakistan. Summitting a sheer rock formation that juts over a kilometre into the sky (altitude 6 250 metres) were Peter Lazarus, James Pitman, Andreas Kiefer and Marianne Pretorius - the third woman ever to conquer Trango. |
