Tickets on sale for A1GP Durban
3 January 2008
Tickets are on sale for round seven of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport 2007/08, taking place in the South African coastal city of Durban on 22 to 24 February.
The Durban event is dubbed "the Monaco of A1GP", as it is the only street circuit on the A1GP calendar, with the unique location of being the only race track that runs parallel to the beach. Packed grandstands have watched both of the previous two meetings held in the city.
With A1 Team South Africa having tasted victory this season, local fans are set to flock to the track to watch their team continue their fight for the overall A1GP title.
Race day prices for adults start at R155 for general admission, with special rates for children under 12 years of age and special arrangements being made for disabled fans.
Mike Carroll, general manager both of A1 Team South Africa and of A1GP's organising company, said ticket pricing and the grandstand model had been aligned more closely
to the first Durban event, which was a sell-out success and won the award for the best round of the inaugural season of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
Tickets can be purchased via Computicket or A1GP.com.
