South Africa resumes seafood exports to Russia

For the first time since the late 1990s, Russia has granted 12 South African companies rights to start exporting canned and frozen fish to the Eurasian country.


New buyers 'impressed with SA wines'

South Africa's competitively priced wine is attracting new buyers - who are impressed by the quality of the wines, a recent report by international financial services company Rabobank found. Exports of South African bulk wine rose in 2013 by 37.6%, outpacing the global average growth rate of 26%.


South African showroom opens in Atlanta

The Department of Trade and Industry has launched a permanent showroom for South African lifestyle products, crafts, clothing and textiles in Atlanta in the United States.


Record year for South African wine exports

The South African wine industry topped its previous export record by 26% in 2013, with a bumper local harvest helping local wine makers both to fill the gap created by a poor European harvest and to make inroads in new markets.
