South Africa is hosting numerous international conferences this year, the first of which is the 21st International Aids Conference taking place in Durban. It is expected to help the country's position in global governance, and boost the economy through increased tourism and investment.
South African director to helm Hollywood action film
Donovan Marsh, South African director of the Spud films and festival favourite iNumber Number, has been selected to lead the production on his first big budget Hollywood film, starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman. Shooting starts in London in July.

It's all systems go as South Africa signs the host country agreement for the CITES CoP17 World Wildlife Conference to be held in Johannesburg this year.
