Opening doors for South African women entrepreneurs Finance for women entrepreneurs

More affordable, usable and responsive finance solutions will soon be made available to emerging female entrepreneurs and businesswomen with the establishment of the Women Entrepreneurs Fund.


Public Protector goes mobile
In an effort to make legal services more accessible to its citizens, South Africa is piloting the Mobile Office of the Public Protector, which will cater especially for people in rural areas, in the Eastern Cape province.



British sub visits Simonstown
The British and South African Navies continue seeking to strengthen links between themselves, the latest being the visit by the nuclear-powered British submarine, the HMS Sceptre, to South Africa's naval headquarters of Simonstown.



EC expands licensing services
The Eastern Cape provincial government is expanding its reach by offering motorists the option of renewing their motor vehicle licences at several South African Post Office branches in the province.



IBSA summit to boost trade
The leaders of three of the world's leading emerging economies meet next week for the second India-Brazil-South Africa summit, which aims to expand cooperation and increase trilateral trade to US$10-billion within the next few years.
